Course Introduction


This training course provides the participant with the basic knowledge, skills and attitudes to identify, act and conduct themselves in line with Industry recognised good practice in the event of an Ammonia hazard and emergency situation.


Course Objective


Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the hazards and health effects of exposure to ammonia

  • List methods used to protect against ammonia exposure

  • Explain appropriate responses to ammonia exposures and emergencies

  • To provide necessary skills to handle any emergency situation at workplace

  • Emergency Response Plan For Ammonia release

  • Personal Protective Equipment & Respiratory Protection

  • Simulation of an Ammonia Leak Target Group

  • Emergency Response Team

  • Safety and Health Committee
